I can safely assume that those two reporters did not have any back-up as far as safety goes. and besides running for their life, if there were to be any problems, they would probably also have to worry about their tripod stand which they would have to lug around as they get away. that’s not likely to happen, tho. most reporters, one can assume, would stay and get their quote by some means possible, mob notwithstanding.

Hi, I came to this page from a search today, the day the Delhi police claim to have cracked her case. The story isn’t too different today either. This news was flashed on the other three English news channels long before Headlines Today woke up and shook off its morning blues. They were showing the nano car and Genelia Dsouza today.

Also, recently when the Madras HC violence took place, there was another channel which had two female reporters at the scene. Watching them surrounded by a mob seething with rage, I felt very nervous. Agreed it is all part of their job, but their vulnerability was very obvious. I wonder whether there was help around if they needed them.
