Why do all references to turning thirty invariably land up in the toaster burnt?? you would think by the time the poor sods have turned thirty, they would know how to toast a slice of bread, eh?

There is this book by Mike Gayle called Turning Thirty. And it is about…turning thirty.  Best read I’ve had for a long time and if you are like me, on the edge of the cliff, trying to hang on to your twenties for as long as you humanly can, then you’ll enjoy it to the last page. I did.

I am still a year and a half away from the dreaded thirties. theory of relativity and all that. so i’ll feel better about this day ten years from now, when I am thirty eight ad a half (yikes!!)

no good, right now im feeling pretty crap.
